The mission of the Workplace of Counsel is to provide comprehensive legal companies to and for the advantage of its consumer, The Board of Trustees of The College of Alabama. Prior to joining A&Ok, Mr Ellis was appearing group normal counsel of the offshore regulation firm Appleby and was based mostly in the British Virgin Islands. (in the US) the main lawyer who provides authorized recommendation to an organization. The office offers legal advice and counsel on the broad spectrum of legal points that arise in the operation of the University.
The OGC advises the Board of Trustees, the President and the University’s academic and administrative units relating to a variety of points, together with contracts, regulatory compliance, employment legislation, intellectual property, pupil conduct and governance.
OGC represents American University and will not signify individual college students, college, or workers besides when these individuals are named as defendants in litigation on account of actions or omissions within the course and scope of their employment or institutional representation.
Ms. Bowden has degrees from Union College, Miami College, and the College of North Carolina, where she served on the legislation assessment as Executive Articles Editor and received her Juris Physician with honors. The OGC serves as authorized counsel for Southern Illinois College, inclusive of the SIU Board of Trustees, the President, Chancellors, and different administrators, faculty and workers.
